NCLEX Exam Review Program for LVN & RN Students - Program managed by "Ascend Review Institute," sponsored affiliation by TLS Education Center. Weekends (approximately 13 consecutive weekend days) from 9am - 5pm; Includes Orientation & Diagnostic Examination, Comprehensive Review, Practice Test / Review materials, and Intensive Final Coaching. Descriptions are as follows: Orientation & Diagnostic Examination: Assist the reviewees in identifying strengths & weaknesses in various subject areas prior to starting the review program; Student practices in applying test-taking strategies; Assist reviewees in enhancing critical and analytical thinking skills to answer exam questions. Nurse Assistant (NA) Certification Program - This is a 5-week "Day" training program or 8-week "Evening" training program or 10-week "Weekend" training program with additional review classes to prepare the student for State Certification Examination. This program is designed to give a student basic knowledge of the principles and skills necessary to provide basic nursing care to patients, residents, and/or clients. Upon completion of 150 hours (50 hours theory and 100 hours clinical skills) the graduate receives a Certificate of Completion and is eligible to take the Certification Examination in the State of California. After passing the State Certification Exam, the student will then have the title as, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).

Acute Care Nurse Attendant (ACNA) Certification Program - This program is designed for Certified Nurse Assistants to prepare students to meet the expectations of acute care facilities in the community. This program will allow the students to receive further training in disease processes and patient care skills and provides guidelines for acute care clinical experiences. This is an 80 hour training program (theory classes and clinical experience). Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Program - This program is designed to prepare Certified Nurse Assistants for Certification as a Home Health Aide by the State of California. This curriculum consists of 20 theory hours and 20 clinical hours (total of 40 hours) for a duration of 8 days Mondays through Fridays 5 hours each day. The program is structured to provide theory and practical application of knowledge and skill needed to function as a Home Health Aide and be able to deliver optimum health care in a home care setting. Heartsaver CPR & First-Aid (For Non-Healthcare Providers) - This class will teach you adult, child, and infant CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, the use of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator), and treatment of choking victims of all ages. A certificate from American Heart Association renewable every 2 years for CPR and every 2 years for First Aid will be given to participants who successfully completed this class. Heartsaver CPR and Heartsaver First Aid can be taken separately.

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR - (For Healthcare Providers) This class is designed for the health care providers. This course focuses on the skills of CPR required for the health care provider. Also covers recognition and treatment of choking victims of all ages. Participants who successfully completed this class will receive a ceritificate from American Heart Association renewable every 2 years.

Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) Certification Program - This 1-day training program focuses on extensive practices and skills to keep a client at his/her highest possible practical, physical, mental, psychological, and functional level of well-being. With a competitive workforce, this certificate will put you on the edge from your peers because you will have learned basic skills not only from your previously learned basic nursing skills, but also skills from Physical Therapy (P.T.), Occupational Therapy (O.T.), and Speech & Language Pathology (SLP) to be a very competent & successful Restorative Nursing Assistant. To be accepted in this program, you must currently be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). RNAs are primarily seen in the Skilled Nursing Facilities, Long-Term Care, Convalescent Hospitals, Rehabilitation & Nursing Facilities, Geriatric-Psychiatric Facilities, etc. It is a very exciting and rewarding field, and the RNA credential will also open the doors to employment such as a Rehab Aide, Rehab Tech, Activity Assistant, Medical Assistants, Medical Offices, etc. It is definitely a credential directly above the level of CNA certification. Medication Management Technician Certification Program - This program emphasize prevention measures through education by assisting care givers to implement medication procedures properly and accurately to promote resident's health and safety. This program contains information that represent medication procedures required by law to perform, and some procedures not required by law, if implemented, will provide additional safeguards in the management of medications. To be accepted in this program, you must be a Certified Nurse Assistant. Successful completion of this program must pass a written and skills test and must attend all modules equivalent to 10 hours.
